Career Clarity Newsletter - April Edition
April Reset: Moving Forward Without All the Answers
Happy April!
Spring is often framed as a fresh start — but in reality, most new seasons begin before things feel fully clear.
Many of the women I work with are navigating change or feeling unsettled in some part of their careers. Even the most experienced can feel off balance when the path ahead feels less certain.
But feeling unsettled isn’t always a sign that something is wrong. Sometimes, it’s an invitation to slow down, get clearer on what matters, and move forward more intentionally.
If that’s where you are right now, this edition is for you.

Intentional in Uncertainty — Self-Paced Module (Pilot Opens in May)
Most people treat uncertainty like something to “get through.”
This module is built on a different idea: uncertainty can be a tool.
Intentional in Uncertainty is designed to help you stay grounded and strategic — even when things feel unsettled.
It’s for you if you’ve been asking:
"How do I keep moving forward when things feel unsettled?"
Inside, we’ll focus on how to:
• Stay present with what’s hard — without getting stuck in it
• Use uncertainty as a period for repositioning, not retreating
• Focus your energy on what actually moves things forward
As part of the pilot, you’ll move through the module at your own pace in May, followed by a 45-minute session to reflect and map your next steps for the rest of the year.

Waiting Is a Strategy — But Often the Wrong One
When things feel unclear at work, waiting often feels sensible.
Waiting for clarity.
Waiting for direction.
Waiting for confidence to arrive.
But in most cases, waiting doesn’t create clarity — it often keeps you in limbo longer. Clarity often comes from movement, not certainty.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, try this:
Step 1: Name it
Write down one area of your career that feels unclear or stuck.
Step 2: Narrow it
Identify where you still have influence or decision-making ability.
Step 3: Act on it
Take one small, concrete step, such as:
• Sending the message you’ve been postponing
• Asking a direct question to reduce ambiguity
• Making a decision you’ve been delaying
Keep the action small enough to start — but meaningful enough to matter.
Then reflect:
Did it change the situation, or simply shift how you see it?
More often than not, it’s the latter — and that shift is often what helps things start to feel clearer.

Five Practices of Indispensable, High-Impact Players
With Liz Wiseman on How to Be Awesome at Your Job
If you’ve been in a season of change lately, this is worth a listen.
Liz Wiseman shares how high-impact people approach unclear situations differently. Instead of avoiding them, they lean in — and look for ways to contribute.
One idea that stands out: they don’t wait for clarity, they help create it by asking:
•?? What’s needed here?
• What can I help make clearer?
• Where can I add value right now?
It’s a subtle but powerful shift — from waiting for direction to actively shaping it.
4 | COACHING REFLECTION 🤔
What's One Area Still Within Reach Right Now?
In seasons of change, it’s easy to get pulled in multiple directions by fear, opinions, or external pressure.
This week, try pausing and checking in with yourself:
Think about one area of your career that feels uncertain right now. Then ask yourself:
• What part of this situation is fact — and what part is fear?
• What do I actually need right now: clarity, support, rest, or perspective?
• What would help me feel more grounded right now?
You do not need to solve everything
You just need to reconnect with what matters most right now — and take your next step from there.
5 | LET'S STAY CONNECTED! ☕
If you’re in a season of transition, feeling stuck, or working through an important decision, I’d love to be a sounding board and offer guidance.
I offer free discovery sessions. It’s a space to talk through where you are and what kind of support would be most useful right now.
Here’s to moving forward with more clarity, trust, and intention — one step at a time.
