Women of colour deserve a career coach who truly understands their journey
Jennifer Purcell
Founder, Lead to Change
I help women of colour professional uncover their unique value, and build a bold, values-aligned careers—so they can stop settling and start leading with confidence and purpose.
Like many women of colour, my career has been shaped by both hard-won achievements and deeply frustrating setbacks.
I’ve faced microaggressions, imposter syndrome, and burnout—while trying to prove my worth at tables where I was often the only Black woman.
I know what it’s like to follow all the “rules,” perform at a high level, and still feel unseen, undervalued, or passed over. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
My turning point came when I worked with a career coach—a decision that changed everything.
Coaching helped me stop questioning whether I was “good enough” and start recognizing my strengths, advocating for myself, and creating my own opportunities.
That transformation inspired me to launch Lead to Change in 2020 to support other women of colour in achieving their leadership goals.
