Career Clarity Newsletter - September Edition
What’s Your Finish Line
Happy September!
There’s something about September that makes the year feel a little more real.
Summer is winding down, the final quarter is here, and suddenly, December doesn’t feel quite so far away.
A few weeks ago, my wellness coach asked our group a question that stuck with me:
“What’s your finish line?”
It got me thinking: We often have a long list of things we hope to accomplish, but without a clear finish line, it’s easy to keep pushing our goals to tomorrow.
So what if September is the month to get clear and lock in on what we actually want to accomplish?
This edition is all about focusing on what matters — and making the final stretch of 2026 count.
1 | WHAT’S NEW 🌟
Leadership Accelerator Program
Knowing your finish line is one thing. Figuring out how to get there is another.
That’s where my 10-week Leadership Accelerator comes in.
It’s designed for women who are ready to move forward on an ambitious goal but aren’t quite sure what the next step looks like — or how to make it happen alongside everything else on their plate.
The program combines:
Group coaching for community, perspective and accountability
Private coaching for personalized support and guidance
Learning modules with practical exercises and reflections to build clarity
Weekly experiments to apply new leadership behaviours and grow confidence
If there's something you've been saying you'll tackle "when things settle down," this could be the support you need to make real progress before the year ends.
The next cohort starts September 29, and early-bird pricing ends September 15.

2 | SPOTLIGHT 💬
Stop Waiting For the Perfect Time
Sometimes we think we need more clarity, when what we’re really seeking is certainty.
But certainty rarely comes from waiting. Clarity comes from action.
It can be as simple as:
Naming what you want
Committing to exploring it
Saying it aloud to someone to build accountability
Taking a step that creates momentum or gives you new information.
In the spirit of walking my own talk, I’ve been sitting with an idea for a while: hosting an intimate career mastermind in the Caribbean.
Imagine staying somewhere beautiful, like Trinidad & Tobago, while enjoying the richness of local culture.
No packed agenda.
No pressure to arrive with all the answers.
Instead, space to slow down, have meaningful conversations, and think differently about what's next in your career.
Do I have every detail figured out?
No, not yet.
But I’m naming the idea, committing to exploring it, and putting it out into the world.
And, here's my first step: reaching out to my newsletter community.
Would this be an experience you’d be interested in?
Connect with me on LinkedIn and let’s connect. I’d love to hear what would make it meaningful for you.
And tell me about your own finish line, too. I’m cheering you on!
3 | PODCAST RECOMMENDATION 🎧
If You're Feeling Stuck in Life, Listen to This
The Mel Robbins Podcast
If part of you knows what your finish line is but you haven’t been able to move toward it, this episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast is worth a listen.
Mel explores three traps that can keep us from moving forward:
Not being ready to make a change (e.g., holding onto the past, regret, or fear of failure)
Overthinking our options and searching for the perfect path
Hesitating with ‘what if’s’ instead of taking action.
I especially liked how she incorporates listeners’ stories to illustrate these patterns. As you listen, notice what sounds familiar.
Sometimes hearing someone else’s story helps us see our own situation — and a way forward more clearly.
And if you’re navigating a career change or job search, you’ll find a lot of practical ideas in this episode that may help, too.
4 | COACHING REFLECTION 🤔
Name the Uncomfortable Step
We often know what we want. The harder question is whether we’re willing to do what it takes to move toward it.
It might mean having the conversation you’ve been avoiding, putting yourself forward for an opportunity, or finally making a decision you’ve been circling.
So this week, ask yourself:
What do I want to have completed, changed or created by December 31?
What's the uncomfortable first step I've been avoiding?
What am I afraid might happen if I take it?
What would it look like to take that step imperfectly this week, rather than waiting to feel certain?
Then put it on the calendar. Tell someone. Take the first step.
And if that step feels bigger than something you can take alone, pay attention to that too.
You may not need more motivation. You may need the right space, people and support around you.
5 | LET'S STAY CONNECTED! ☕
If you’re ready to get clear and lock in on a goal that matters to you, I’d love to support you.
Maybe a one-time strategy session is all you need to get clear and create a plan. Or perhaps the Leadership Accelerator is the right space to give you the structure, accountability and support to make meaningful progress over the next 10 weeks.
You don't have to figure that out on your own — book a free discovery session and we'll talk it through.
Here’s to taking the next step!
